Looking at nature with: Go Find It
Another perfect activity for half term: getting out for a nice walk with nature. Let the whole family appreciate the places we are trying to protect. It sounds so easy, but with children in tow a 'nice' walk is not always that straight forward. For us this fantastic game, Go Find It - an out door scavenger hunt - makes the whole walking experience so much nicer for all involved. Each person gets given a card with something to look for: something thick, yellow, spiky, bendy... the cards go on. I love them as they let children look closer at the places they walk through appreciating the environment they are in. As an added bonus it makes walking fun, distracting whining.
The cards come in a lovely little canvas bag and the playing cards are made of card. Not a drop of plastic in sight. And they fit perfectly in your pocket.
