Plastic Free Sunday Roast

For me one of the best things in life is a good Sunday roast with family and friends.  What makes this one even better was getting all the food plastic free.   We didn't make it to the market this weekend but were very pleasantly surprised at being able to buy all the vegetables from Tescos plastic free.  

Usually we aim to get our meat from our local butcher in our own Tupperware boxes - but we don't own one big enough to take a whole chicken.  Not to be defeated, we just took a Pyrex dish with us instead and carried it home with tinfoil on top.

Back in January, taking our own Tupperware with us to the butchers seemed daunting, but after 8-months it seems like the norm and taking a Pyrex instead didn't phase us... as it did the job perfectly.  It certainly didn't phase the butcher!
