Strawberry Ice Lollies

Before all the strawberries from our pick your own session a few weeks ago went past their best, I made lollies with them. I made them up like a smoothie using a hand held blender and then poured them in the plastic lolly moulds.

I know the moulds are plastic, but they are by no means single use. I have had them years and I intend to keep using them.  This time I just blitzed the strawberries and they were quite sour (they still got eaten) but I think next time a banana or mango would be good to take the sharpness out of them. Still very yummy and nice to enjoy the strawberries a lot longer after we picked them.  The great thing about smoothie lollies with kids is they do not drip as much as straight juice ones so are a lot less messy.
