Solar and wind power

It's not been easy this year getting the washing dried on the line in-between the showers.  But I really do try where I can to take advantage of the natural wind and solar power (no further technology required). I love the smell of clothes dried on the line especially bed sheets, nothing better than getting into bed with freshly aired, line dried sheets.  In the heat we are having at the moment you can get so much washed and dried so quickly.  And it doesn't cost a penny.

To maximize the time clothes are on the line between showers I love using my IKEA peg octopus hanger drier for all the smaller items.  Yes they are plastic and when they ever break I will look to replace them with a plastic free alternative but I don't see this happening anytime soon, they seem well made and lasted a good few years already. What it does mean is I can hang things out on a sunny morning and grab everything in quickly when the rain starts. They are also fantastic for drying nappies.
