Plastic Free Milk

I am fortunate enough to live in an area that has a milk round.  I had seen the Sheldons electric milk float driving around in the morning for years but never really thought about it further.  Plastic Free January was the perfect excuse to look into it.  As it turns out I could do it all online.  I signed up for a delivery 3 times a week starting on Monday 31st December.  It really was too easy I doubted it had worked, but on Monday the milk was there on our door step in perfect glass bottles with foil tops.  

The downside is, it's double the price of supermarket milk.  However, for the challenge of Plastic Free January, I thought it was worth a go to enable us to have milk for the month.  At the end of the month it, like most (if not all) of our swaps, has remained.  It's one of the few swaps that it costing us more money, but it is a big reduction in our plastic consumption.
