Making Bread
Annoyingly, most everyday bread (that is reasonably priced) comes in a plastic bags. To avoid spending a small fortune on artisan breads I decided to look into a bread machine for January. I managed to borrow one from someone who no longer used theirs and bought packets of bread flour. The rest is just following the instruction on the packet. It is that simple!
The flour mixes are great, and they come in little paper bags that are completely recyclable. There are loads of different types out there: granary bread, whole meal, white etc... Even sour dough! The bread machine is amazing and makes bread making manageable in a busy week. Mine has a timer on it, so I can set it up the night before and it is ready in the morning. It is also great for making dough for pizza bases and rolls. It is here to stay.
You can find bread mixes in lots of supermarkets, one of the few things you can get from Aldi too. More bread related posts and recipes to follow shortly.
